The Wonderland Parody

Her eyes went closing, and a moment passed.
A thought came knocking, grabbing her hand.
"Come with me, now, to a new wonderland,"
With half a smile the thought said.
Eyes went open: "Wonderland?"
"A place to wonder," Thought replied.
"The sky's your limit. No dreams to hide."
Eyes into darkness, wondering, looked,
For worries of the future her head shook.
Then, with a smile, she nodded.
A joyful thought she became, offering her hand.
"No, my lovely Thought," hesitating she said,
"In my place I will rest," raising her head.
"A place to struggle in I've always needed,
To build my strength, to go at full speed,
That with the hottest breeze of air
I may freeze, moving in light
And darkness too. Life's without meaning
If the rainbow cannot paint
This reality with lively hues.
Life, for real, can shine.
With difficulties, it shines.
With experiences, it glitters.
Not with silly crayon colors.
The rainbow owns seven vivid colors,
But my ambitions are of a thousands colors.
I paint the world with a thought of mine,
And repaint it again, and again, and again,
For I have dreams with no limits.
I've got the world in one hand, though small.
Yet, no fancy wonderland will make me fall
Into nothingness, so lost with all
Fairies, smurfs, and the wise owl.
Reality, with wit I choose,
Keep me here, or my life I lose."
With time, Eyes saw that Thought became
Something else: she has ended the game.
"To you will I confess," her eyes were down.
"No longer wonderland I want." Tears she shed.
"It wasn't real, real it will never get,
With you I stay, witnessing the ever ever best,
Mind is powerful, and with the help of light
May create the brightest thought,
Working with what was always right."
Ever since, light and thought were joint,
Painting the world with hope, not with black and white.
